SetaGrip Luxury Vinyl Flooring vs Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Til

WHAT IS SETAGRIP™ LUXURY VINYL FLOORING?

SetaGrip™ is considered a loose lay with the hold and durability of a glue down. Typical loose lay recommends an adhesive or tape along the perimeter planks; SetaGrip does not due to its patented micro suction adhesion technology that allows it to stick to the subfoor. Thus, no additional adhesives are needed.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF LUXURY VINYL FLOORING INSTALLATIONS
GLUE DOWN
This type of luxury vinyl flooring requires an adhesive when installing. The glue acts as an extra layer of durability. But depending on where you are using it, various factors may affect the adhesive quality. Once glued down, this type is hard to remove and repair if needed.
LOOSE LAY
This type of luxury vinyl flooring does what its name suggests. They lay loosely on the subfloor. Adhesive isn’t required for installation. However, it is recommended
to apply adhesive to the perimeter to prevent shifting.
CLICK/FLOATING
This type of luxury vinyl flooring has a tongue and groove edge, which allows the planks to click into place. No adhesive is needed. However, power tools, a tapping block and a mallet are required for installation. This method is often refered to as click-lock flooring.
